Quick-Drying Finishing Underlayment
FF 830 is a quick-drying cement-based finishing underlayment designed for skim-coating, smoothing, and leveling interior substrates before floor coverings are installed. It can be applied from feather edge up to 1/2 inch and produces a very smooth surface that is ready for carpet, resilient, tile, or other floor finishes

Description

FF 830 is intended for new construction and renovation projects where a fast, easy-to-use skim coat is needed.

  • For indoor use only on concrete, lightweight concrete, ceramic tile, gypsum boards, wood, and homogeneous PVC substrates
  • Quick-drying formulation that can be walked on after about 30 minutes under typical conditions
  • Application range from feather edge to 1/2 inch (12 mm) in a single lift
  • Working time is approximately 15–25 minutes at normal room temperature
  • Final set in 30–60 minutes
  • Water damage resistant with very low shrinkage (0.03–0.05 percent)
  • Compressive strength about 4,350 psi and flexural strength about 870 psi
  • Surface tensile bond strength greater than 144 psi after 7 days
  • Fire classification A1fl
Use FF 830 as a finishing underlayment prior to installation of floor coverings in:
