Description
The Integrated Railing Stanchion is an anchor component designed to be secured to the structural substrate and then encased in a concrete topping during the pour phase of construction. The stanchion provides the receptor for the Integrated Railing Post 3 1/2″ (Stanchion Mount), allowing the post to be installed after concrete placement and curing. Proper sealing of the stanchion penetration through the waterproofing membrane is critical to system integrity.
Key details include Designed for cast-in-place concrete installation; Provides receptor for stanchion-mount railing posts; Allows post installation after concrete pour and cure; Engineered to transfer railing loads into the concrete deck structure.
This component is an accessory within the Elevation Integrated Railing System. Structural performance testing was conducted on the complete railing assembly (Intertek Report P2566.01-119-19 R0, dated 11/16/22). The assembled system met 2021 IBC design load performance requirements. Refer to the structural component TDS documents for detailed test results.
