Membrane adhesion at the wall-to-deck transition depends on what’s behind it. In practice, that’s framing with gaps, offsets, and missed blocking. The membrane can’t bridge those inconsistencies and bond reliably at the same time. That’s where most perimeter failures start.
Elevation Base Flashing gives the Elevation S60 membrane a surface it can actually bond to. The 6″ vertical leg and 3″ horizontal leg create a flat, rigid, and uninterrupted substrate along the full length of walled perimeters. It doesn’t matter what the framing looks like behind it. The membrane sees a consistent bonding plane, and adhesion is no longer a field-conditions gamble.
The galvanization spec (G90U, extra smooth finish per ASTM A653) is selected specifically for compatibility with the Elevation S60 membrane. It ships with the rest of the Elevation system from a single source, so warranty coverage stays intact without third-party material substitutions.
