Description
Water doesn’t stop at the concrete wear surface. It gets underneath. At the balcony edge, that subsurface moisture migrates toward the facade, staining finishes and accelerating deterioration of structural framing behind it.
Integrated Galvanized Drip Edge is the second layer of defense at the balcony perimeter. The L-shaped profile sits beneath the Integrated waterproof membrane, intercepting infiltrating moisture along a 2″ vertical drip segment and throwing it clear of the building face with a 0.5″ outward kick-out. No dwell time against the facade. No slow rot behind finished surfaces.
The T-Bar handles primary surface drainage at the balcony edge. The drip edge handles what gets past the concrete. Together they form a complete perimeter water management system, and when properly installed, the drip edge is completely concealed behind the T-Bar with no additional trim or cover required.
Layered perimeter drainage
- 2″ vertical drip segment channels intercepted water downward; 0.5″ kick-out directs it away from the building face
- Works with the Integrated T-Bar as a paired system: T-Bar manages surface drainage, drip edge manages subsurface infiltration
- 3.5″ horizontal securement leg provides a stable installation platform beneath the Integrated waterproof membrane at the deck perimeter
System integration
- Hot-dip galvanized per ASTM A653; compatible with Integrated waterproof membranes
- Ships with the complete Integrated system from a single source
- Concealed behind the Integrated T-Bar when properly installed, with no exposed flashing visible from below
